The Real Numbers
Across 37 compounds and dosage variants where we track two or more suppliers, the average price spread — cheapest supplier vs. most expensive, same compound, same dose — is 73%. The median spread is 50%. In other words: for a typical compound with multiple suppliers, it is common to pay one and a half times more than necessary just by picking the wrong listing.
The widest gaps we found:

- BPC-157 10mg: £30 to £95 — a 217% spread across 2 suppliers
- TB-500 10mg: £30 to £95 — a 217% spread across 3 suppliers
- Bacteriostatic Water (10ml): £7 to £19 — a 168% spread across 3 suppliers
- DSIP 5mg: £15 to £38 — a 153% spread across 2 suppliers
- Ipamorelin 5mg: £18 to £44 — a 143% spread across 4 suppliers
Why the Gaps Exist
This is not a regulated market with a standard reference price. Suppliers set prices independently based on their own sourcing costs, testing/COA overhead, margins, and — in some cases — simply what they believe the market will bear for a given brand of vial. A wide spread does not by itself mean one supplier is disreputable and another is fair; it does mean that price alone is not a reliable signal of quality in either direction, and that checking before buying is worth the two minutes it takes.
Methodology
This snapshot reflects supplier pricing tracked live on CompoundSearch as of the publish date above. Only compounds/dosage variants with two or more suppliers carrying a listed price were included (37 of the compounds we track met that bar at time of writing); prices in USD and AUD were normalized to GBP using fixed conversion rates for comparison purposes only, not live FX rates. This is a point-in-time snapshot, not a trend — we did not have historical pricing data going back further than this snapshot, and will not claim a trend until we do.
